Responsibilities The PACU is a 28 bed unit caring for patients (adult and pediatric) following surgical interventions requiring general or regional anesthesia. Included in the unit is a 4-bed intensive care unit targeting patients who predictably are able to return to floor care after 24 hours of observation. The PCA assists the nurses, performs EKG's and Phlebotomy, feeds, dresses and transports patients.
