Stamping Design Engineer Due to rapid growth and expansion THE HINES GROUP is looking to add a talented stamping tool designer to our engineering team. This individual will report to the Design Engineering Manager and will be responsible for developing new stamping tooling designs from concept to production. As a Stamping Design Engineer you will: - Design, create and develop new transfer, progressive, or multi-slide tooling - Handle prototyping, testing, reliability and manufacturability
RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Conceive, develop and maintain designs and technical data used to construct automated machinery used in the manufacture of plastic products produced by various forms of molding and extrusion 2. Provide CAD support to produce and maintain 3D models and drawings 3. Communicate with plant and automation engineers to develop automation equipment 4. Generate technical data as needed to assist in the manufacture and assembly of components and systems 5.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Coordinate all aspects of projects pertaining to the improvement of proprietary products or the procurement of new proprietary or custom business 2. Consult with the sales force on potential new projects or modifications to proprietary tooling 3. Communicate with customers to help determine there needs related to new projects 4. Acquire quotes from vendors on new tooling or modifications to proprietary tooling 5. Determine costs on custom and proprietary projects
RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Plan, organize, and direct custom and proprietary projects from the initial contact with the customers through the design and development of the products and tooling 2. Report progress of Product Development projects to Vice President 3. Oversee custom and proprietary projects given to the Product Development Engineers 4. Consult with the Sales Department on potential new products and modifications to proprietary products 5. Work directly with customers to develop
